My work is about the delicate relationship between the human-built environment and the natural elements that come into conflict with it. I am interested in the fragments of nature no amount of man-made machinery can control, and what happens when that control is relinquished.

I search for the weathered, the eroded, the overgrown, the off-the-beaten-path. I curate cast-off antiquities in hopes of uncovering hidden mythology, hidden secrets, hidden potential. I care about charting history while leaving room for new narratives to develop. I observe traditional practices of archiving, production, and documentation, and then seek to interrupt them.
